<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Contemporary media technologies are incorporated in our life, affecting our everyday experience. In this connection, it is necessary to study the practices of individual users. One of the most popular social media practices is telling the private stories. The users of social networks often share their personal information and make this information public. It is the reason to continue the discussions about the relationship between the public and the private. This article is devoted to representations of love relationships in social media. The research is aimed to reveal how a user constructs the representation of their own personal life in the space of social media. Creating the digital chronicle of their love relationships, users use certain discursive strategies. In this study, the users’ practices are interpreted in the context of public and private perspective. Special attention is paid to the situation of the user’s own interpretation of their subjective experience. The space of social networks is considered as an area of opposing discursive strategies. Those strategies come from the interpretation of this space as personal or as public.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>репрезентации</kwd><kwd>социальные медиа</kwd><kwd>социальные сети</kwd><kwd>личное</kwd><kwd>публичное</kwd><kwd>приватное</kwd><kwd>самопрезентирование</kwd><kwd>любовные отношения</kwd><kwd>дискурсивные практики</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>representation</kwd><kwd>social media</kwd><kwd>social networks</kwd><kwd>intimate</kwd><kwd>public</kwd><kwd>private</kwd><kwd>self-presentation</kwd><kwd>love relationships</kwd><kwd>discursive practices</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Illouz E.
