Кумарасвами, труды которого - одна из первых попыток диалога Востока и Запада. Особое внимание в статье уделено тем вопросам в разработке Кумарасвами, которые сегодня наиболее актуальны и важны не только для индологов, но и для широкого круга специалистов и неспециалистов. Основная цель статьи - познакомить читателя с центральными и основополагающими принципами методологии Кумарасвами, рассказать о специфике трактовки ученым восточного искусства и его особенностей.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Analyses ideas of the famous indologist and orientalist, philosopher and art theorist whose works may be regarded as an attempt of the East­West cultural dialogue. The article focuses on the Coomaraswamy’s concepts that are most relevant and important today for both indologists and wider audiences.
