Abstract

Analyzes such a phenomenon of the 60-80s of the XX century as «religious dissidence». Intelligentsia, which in the 60s began to discover Russian culture, became the right environment, where dissidence came into being. Through spiritual quest educated people came to Church, found God, and could not reconcile with the pressure of state that declared atheism and the struggle against religion its ideological platform which was expressed in the form of the closure of churches, the prohibition of free expression of religious feelings, suppression of the rights and freedoms of the individual etc
