From the Literary Tale to the History of Mankind: In Search of Reality Lost

Abstract

Studies the “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” by Alexander Pushkin from the folklorist perspective. The author draws on the works of the prominent folk literature researchers including Vladimir Propp, Eleazar Meletinsky and others and reveals a link between this tale and pre­history realities of the Neolithic Era and life of kinship communities.
