Historical and Cultural Bases in the Evolution of Foreign Scientific and Technical Museums

Abstract
Using the historical and culturological approach, the author analyzes key phases of genesis and evolution of foreign scientific and technical museums as a cultural phenomenon. Scientific and social potential of the technical museums and their role in the modern society are conceptualized in the article.
